    I had purchased the top package Business for $295 more than one year ago. I haven't used the ArrowChat because I found a bug with incoming messages between the desktop and mobile version, not every message was was received.

    Few weeks ago, I bought the update package because the newest version looks like good and I hoped that the bug was fixed.

    I had install the newest version ArrowChat Version 1.8.x on february with socialengine 4.8.6 and I found next bug.
    If you logout from socialengine, the ArrowChat is working again, you can chat although you are logout from socialengine.
    I have report this bug, but Jason said this isn't a bug and his answer was: "SocialEngine has changed their authentication in the newest update, so this will be normal behavior for now". The socialengine version 4.8.6 was at this time minimum 6 month old.

    For me this is a big bug when the logout doesn't work, and ArrowChat is not useable for me with socialengine.
    I have test the newest ArrowChat v1.8.21 with socialengine 4.8.7, and nothing was changed, the logout doesn't work.

    When you read the most from their "Bug Tracker" forum threads with the status "Not a bug" and "Will not fix", you can see how bad is the support.

    The ArrowChat support let me alone with this issue and ignored me since a month.

    It was a big failure to believe in ArrowChat and I have wasted my money and time.

    THIS IS THE WORST SUPPORT EVER!!!

      I have forget to write that ArrowChat doesn't support SocialEngine when the logout doesn't work!

      The log out issue was fixed a while ago. I know this because I specifically remember your bug report and we took the time to make sure it was fixed. I would recommend that you re-install and contact support if you need further assistance.

      We take the bug tracker very seriously. Everything marked "Not a Bug" is because it, well, isn't a bug. You'll see that we have more reports with the "Fix Completed" status.

      I have reinstall it on newest version ArrowChat v1.8.21 and SocialEngine 4.8.7, both are fresh installed.
      When I login on SocialEngine, I can chat with other users. When I logout, I can chat again with users althoug I'm logout from SocialEngine.
      Nothing is fixed, this "Not a bug" for me a bug, is back!

      @ArrowChat Please test your own software before you sell it or update it, we are customer an we are not your beta testers!

      One again, please contact support if you are having trouble. This was already fixed, tested, and confirmed.

    I purchase the top package, for $295 USD.

    I have to say, although the software does what it says it will do, Arrowchat has by far, the worst support I have ever experienced anywhere.

    When I purchased the software, I asked for installation (Which is included in the price). I opened up an installation ticket, and another ticket to ask that the installation folder name be changed.

    My installation request goes ignored for 2 full business days.
    My ticket, recieves one reply - which did not answer a single thing and simply said "Yes, I'll make sure to make a note of this."

    I replied to this asking them to give me an Expected time for the install, and to please answer my question regarding install path.

    I get an email one day later, telling me the install is completed. A default install, and my original tickets are still unanswered.

    So far the only responses I have received from this "support team" has been the following 2 sentences.

    "Yes, I'll make sure to make a note of this."

    "We have your request and you are in queue for installation."


    If you are looking for support, these guys are clearly not the guys to give it. Look elsewhere.

      Now - after seeing this post they replied to my ticket - STILL NOT having read the ticket.

      They asked me "We are sorry you feel this way, Is there anything we can do to help? "

      So, to the semi-intelligent robot that replied to me , I say - Yes - there is something you can do - Reply to my ORIGINAL ticket and resolve the simple issue.

      Now they have me waiting around for two days.

      Asked me to send "admin info" - but they don't actually tell you which "admin"

      Social Engine admin?
      Phpmyadmin?
      CPanel Admin?
      Arrowchat admin?


      I asked them again - which admin -

      They just replied with "admin to change your header/footer"

      The WORST SUPPORT OF ALL TIME - DO NOT BUY FROM THESE GUYS.

      I investigated your ticket and it looks like you received responses within 30 minutes each time, but we couldn't get the appropriate information from you to fix your issue, perhaps some bad communication on our part. Thank you for the comments, though; it helps us improve.

    I just purchase this plugin and it is awesome. I debated for nearly two months on whether or not I should purchase it. I am now kicking myself in the but for not purchasing it much sooner. This is an awesome plugin! I purchase the professional version and it is worth every penny. And their support and customer service was superb. Any question or concern I asked them they always responded back in a timely fashion. My site always did look professional but the arrowchat plugin really makes it stand out from all the rest. Thank you so much Arrow Chat! Please keep up the great work you do.

    I don't run a adult site. I run a regular site. This is one of the best investement i made besides social engine. First off Thanks to Arrow they installed it on the latest update. My site has only been up and running less than two weeks and they installed it for free over the memorial day holiday via presale email negociations. It works fine. It's amazing just by buying this i saved a ton on modules and widgets. For one it doesn't require a special server like other chat modules. Saveing cash is always fun. I realize at some point i may want to upgrade my server but it works for now untill i build up the site. I saved because this thing will make your site multi language. you can hit a button and change text on the web page. it has private char rooms pass word protected ones. it's hooked to about 7 social sites. It has prohibited names in chat. it has so many benifits i can't list them all. Lets put it this way it saves on modules in every way. Everyone else who can't use it i feel sorry i can and i am so happy...!

      whats cool if you don't want video you don't have to use it most features can be disabled. I think video was not cost effective for me untill it has thousands of members. why would i want to get a special server untill it has members so i could throw away money? That makes no sense. I see people want video untill the server bill comes. so i get members then get video. But it's my buisness plan everyone else has a diffrent one.But the more I think about it a dateing site would want video but at that point i would embed skype in the site to save on my server bill just give away skype for free. Facebook myspace and craigs list are doing fine without video. I like toolbar it has so many features you should go and get it. I got it without video but for a chatbar it's better than facebook and saved me a ton. for one i dont have to purchase 20 language packs i could go on and on. you need to get at this people. this a real review not planted real paying customer....!

    Good point made by previous poster. If this comes with video - how are we supposed to monitor what users are broadcasting to their friends? We have no idea who is sending xxx stuff and who isn't. That needs to be address before buying this plugin.

    FYI - it looks sweet if there are no rules (since this is on MY site).

      Update after actually purchasing....

      I got the business edition for $300. First and foremost, these guys REALLY need to work on the product they release for SocialEngine and get the bugs out! This should come as a TAR and not require you to know complex code for installation or changes. They bit off more than they can chew releasing a product that is "everything" to everybody. You can't change the colors of the frames or text. There are hokey things like not being able to be on the same browser and IP address to test. They don't tell you that it does not operate identical to SE (being able to chat with friends as well as people in your network). Business is supposed to be white branded - yet in certain sections there are still references to arrowchat, tinychat, etc that I have no idea how to change. The document exchange and whiteboarding don't work correctly. And the biggest thing is the support. They have been getting better in the last couple of days. But it was like pulling teeth to get immediate responses and help on the smallest things. I would HIGHLY recommend that the SE community hold off on getting this plugin until arrowchat fixes their problems and notifies SE that they have a robust, trouble free, DEDICATED product that integrates nicely with SE. This is one of the most expensive plugins I have purchased and I wish I would have waited!

    Since the webcams are powered by tinychat their term & conditions prohibits adult broadcast. That mean I wont be able to use the webcam feature in my adult website right?

      Very good question. The video chat rooms are completely private and only people that we're invited can view the room. I think TinyChat is concerned about nudity in their public rooms.

    This is a great chat bar. It is a much bettter upgrade from the stock one. It is a bit of a pain to install if you don't know what you are doing but luckily I have a great host that assisted me through. There is no way to change the color of the text either which I thought would of been a standard feature but now I am stuck trying to figure out code. But definitely worth it. I would even skip getting the stock chat and just go for this.

      The arrowchat bar has failed a few times which was not too big of a deal but when I contacted support you guys said I did something wrong to break it. Which is the first thing a company should not do is blame the client. This really offended me to the extent I do not like this plugin anymore and don't feel like supporting this company with a branded chat bar. Then you guys wanted me to pay for technical service plan for an issue that was not caused by me but the faulty product itself. This is absurd to pay to have something fixed that should have worked flawless out of the box. This lack of customer service has made me pursue other chat options. I was pleased with this product until all that mess.

      I apologize for the recent trouble you've been having. I'm not familiar with your particular case, but I assume the employee was just trying to get you to understand why ArrowChat might have broken and had no intent to offend you.

      If the problem was indeed a bug, you can submit it to our bug report section and it will be fixed next update.
