Eugene and his team are great to work with. I have only 4 if their Plugins, but they work as intended, and have no compatibility issue with other plugins (140+) or my theme (Integrity).

I have dealt with a few developers for Social Engine and spent a few thousand over the last few months in Apps, Plugins and custom development. Overall it was extremely frustrating. Even Social Engine support was lacking. Yes Social Engine is based in L.A, but their support lives in India. Each time with a new developer, it was a fiasco. Sometimes it took over a week to get them logged into the server because they could not figure out how SFTP and CHROOT worked. Then they would demand 777 permissions on the entire site, which you NEVER need or should use with shared hosting.
Each response to a ticket would happen at least 24 hours later. Simple things took weeks to resolve because they were in an opposite timezone. I reply and 24 hours pass, they reply the password doesn't work, I check and it does and reply back, 24 hours pass, they try again and login but cannot upload to the root dir, I explained with CHROOT you can't write to the top folder, but all the subfolders are writable, another 24 hours go by... A week goes by... This once went on for 6 weeks before they got a simple plugin to work on our site.
Finally our site was hacked (possibly by one of those developers that we had hired in the first place) and in frustration, with a bloated site that could hardly load, we just started over from scratch. We planned to use no plugins this time at all, but there was one that we could not live without. The Moderator Toolbox. It was excellent and allowed the moderators to manage users without having full access to the Admin panel.
When I had some questions about it, I contacted them and that is when I met WebHive. When we had issues, they were quick, courteous and helpful. I have had them email me at 9 PM at night, 2 AM in the morning, and over the weekend. When working on something, we would email back and forth throughout the day. They are very responsive, knowledgable, and actually care about the customer. They did not make excuses, but simply got the job done. We use the Moderator toolbox and the Nested Comment plugin and are very happy with them.
After the frustrating experience with Social Engine developers, WebHive is a breath of fresh air. This company is excellent, communicates promptly and clearly, and from here on out, we will use no one else. I would rate them 10 out of 10 stars.
