I have all the SEAO plugins and both the IOS & Android apps for over a year now, testing the software on VPS hosting and on AWS and love it! I also recommend getting the PrimeMessenger, works beautifully with the apps,super fast messaging and worth the money! Regarding support,if theres ever a problem the SEAO team is only an email away and fixes all issues usually the next day,excellent support!

I have been a customer with SEAO for a while now and honestly they offer quality service and quality products. Well like any software that is developed its bound to have a couple of bugs here and there, what makes this team different is that they are able to quickly come to your assistance and they will sort out the issues. Definitely the best social network app I was able to find. Random crash issues but great support always available to fix them and constantly working towards improvements. My biggest disappointment is the Directory Module doesn't display contact info on listings as it does on the website, support has been informed and are working towards fixing it. I recommend it but you also need to be a bit patient with minor issues as they are being worked on.

Contact Info in Directory / Pages Plugin is displayed on the website using one Widget and the same has not been implemented in our Mobile Apps yet. However, we have got our App Developers working on this feature and we will release this out in our iOS and Android Mobile Apps in near future upgrades.

I hate to write this review, but the mobile applications service for iOS and Android from SEAO are sub-par at best. We purchased their Android and iOS applications in November of 2017. We are at 46 days out of purchasing the SEAO mobile apps and we still have a non functioning iOS application and an Android application that has some crash issues on some features. It seems communication is a serious problem if you are not a native speaker of their language thru support tickets.

The first build was the Android application. Most of it works beautifully but does crash on some features of the app. They were notified of this on December 1st 2017. It was not acknowledged until December 27th 2017 after their repeatedly saying they could not reproduce the error . It took having to send multiple screen shots and links to a video (several times) of the app crashing for an acknowledgement that there is a bug. We even sent android debug logs in the first communication about the error causing the crash.

The iOS build has been nothing but a huge issue.

The very first build SEAO uploaded to the appstore, several of the buttons in the bottom app menu tray do not work and are the wrong icons for the module coded to the button. Now, there is just a slight issue with the build form. It seems when selecting the modules for the button assignment, they display standard SE modules in the drop down even if they are not installed on your site. Because we have renamed their own advanced plugins after normal SE ones (to remove the "advanced") from being displayed on the desktop website before mobile apps were even purchased. We had no clue what to select in the pulldown because it had double options.

Then there is an issue with the AppStore listing they created. The first, screen shots that violate the Apple Developer Guidelines of having real people (my child) in the screen shots. The second screen shot includes our physical home address. While our site is still in development and not accepting registrations, I would expect them to review the screen shots before submitting them or allowing us to review before going live on the appstore.

So, we immediately sent a new build request (On December 18th) for the iOS app button errors and to alert them that new screen shots were needed. This was more then enough time within their own build time listed on their website to submit to Apple before their Christmas review break. I sent several emails and find out the apps were not submitted and would be submitted after the Apple Christmas Holiday break. To this day, the apps and the screen shots have not been updated.

We still have a broken app in the AppStore listing and inappropriate screen shots. The iPad screen shots look like they took iPhone ones and just resized them. They are severely stretched and unprofessional looking.

We also had an issue with the mobile iOS app not accepting the Header Title change from the menu setting in the Admin panel. It works fine on the Android app, not iOS. It took 10 days for them to acknowledge the issue after sending screen shots because they kept telling us to update it in the admin panel menu settings even when the initial report explained we had done that and changes were not reflected in the iOS app.

After not having the appstore listings updated and other issues, we requested to move to use our own AppStore listing to control submission and changes to apple. This is per their own terms listed on their website. See below:

"Mobile Starter plan has a lower cost than the Mobile Pro plan. Additionally, with the Mobile Starter plan, you also save the $99 per year fee of having your own iTunes iOS developer account.
Thus, if you want to see what your community's mobile apps would be like, with a low initial start-up cost, then you can go for the Mobile Starter plan.

You can anytime move from the Mobile Starter plan to Mobile Pro plan by filing a support ticket from your SocialEngineAddOns Client Area, and our support team will help you out. App transfers from SocialEngineAddOns app store account to your app store account will be subject to app store terms. (See iTunes app transfer terms here, and Google Play Store's app transfer terms here.)

We are at several weeks of talking with different SEAO staff and many of the conversations have indicated they would get iOS certs and provisioning profiles from our account and send us the ipa to upload ourselves to the appstore.

Infact they have sent us an ipa file twice. But they certs used were not generated from our account and the package id was not changed from their listing.

So we asked for them to get the certs from our account and rebuild the app, now they are telling us we have to pay to use our own store account. After the weeks of asking and being sent ipa files to upload. (Even though we could not because of the package name not being changed)

They monthly fee for using their store or ours is the same month to month. There is a difference in the initial one time fee... that they have offered a discount to switch. But their own website does not say there will be any costs in moving plans. We would not care to keep using their app store account if any update or the screen shots were done on our apps. But, in 40+ days a non functioning listing and bad screen shots have not been changed.

Due to the time difference, we have had an employee work 10pm to 6am so we could communicate during their working hours. The past 7 days, after trying to get the iOS app updated or our own appstore account used, nothing has been done, except on Friday, one message that a member of the sales team would contact us to move to use our own appstore account. They have been closed all weekend, and no app updated and still no change in screen shots. Because the mobile apps have a per month fee, it seems everything is being done to stretch out communication over weeks and months that fix nothing.

Do not recommend the MOBILE APPS at current time.

Web plugins are always fixed and updated fast. No issues with those items.

SEAO/BigStep has reached out and has offered a solution to our issues. It appears there was not any care for lack of quality or ill intent regarding their mobile applications, but just a bad chance of luck due the timing of our purchase with two major US holidays back to back and an issues with coordinating over another timezone (which is expected in this situation). SEAO/BigStep clearly has a passion for the quality of their products and they stand by that passion when there is an issue that needs addressed. As stated above, we are highly impressed with their web apps and continue to advocate their use.

This product is a great product from a great company. The difficulty in programming an app with this many features and have it all work correctly is enormous. I appreciate the fact that as technical challenges arise from these apps, SEAO are constantly updating and improving their app to make it as stable and reliable as possible. After spending 10's of thousands of dollars and over 5 years setting up my social engine site, I have just installed and published the apps from Socialengine addons and instantly have had more members join and comment on my network in 2 days than the rest of this year. This has been what Ive been waiting for and has changed my social network completely. If your on the fence get off it and buy this you won't regret it, there is certainly a fair amount of images and things to do to get the app live but its worth every moment. Definalty the best thing I have done for my site i love it !. Social engine addons have been for the last 5 years amazing in support for me, I have been a demanding panicking and clueless customer , yet they always act professionally and in good time, I have this year deleted every other 3rd party addon and now only use them that's how much I trust and invest in them. Highly highly recommended company ! A+++ The speed of my social engine site has been one of my pet hates I did everything I could to get it faster , AWS hosting CDN database upgrades etc etc yet still always bothered me and for the main site kinda still does but most all that is gone now with the app, as it is very fast and very useful for my members I'm looking forward to seeing what they do next with it and already from when it was launched by then till now they seem to have made huge improvements. Wish I had this when I started that's for sure , a must have if your running a social network where you think your users are using mobile and id say that's most of them. My site is about 10 months old and I have had my site setup with plugins and mobiles apps from another plugin provider. They had wonderful plugins but came with lots of bugs. Moreover, they have lied to me during sales negotiations, they told me that their mobile apps were native apps. I found out apps were actually nothing but WebView after they have deployed the apps to app store and play store. However, they had excellent after sales service and truly good guys. All support ticket gets immediate reply etc. Nonetheless, their plugins were buggy, had no native mobile apps and they haven’t updated their css since 2009. Hence, I took time to communicate with every potential plugin provider of SE, downloaded their mobile apps, used it and posted bug list in their timeline and instead of commenting my post they delete my post. Most of all, I read all the reviews from SE site about all plugins and plugins provider. After a month of research, I started communicating with Ms. Natasha from SEADDONS. OMG, she tolerated my long emails with questions after questions until I am fully satisfied. Anyway, long story short. I have dumped my old plugin provider and found my hero "SEADDONS".

In the month of April 2016, I have moved to SEADDONS and they have done their utmost best to accommodate almost all of my requests to change, fix and fix according my likings. People that works at SEADDONS are rock stars. Sometime you may feel they are slow at responding to your ticket. While you are having that thought they were actually fixing reported issue. They didn't want to waste valuable time attending to ticket until it is fix and I love that approach. I used to get annoyed that they aren't replying to my ticket fast enough until I have noticed my problem were already fixed. Later, I became ashamed for having such feeling.

SEADDONS Team works very professionally and their products are to absolutely stunning and 99.99% bugs free. I am not going to say 100% bugs free, no software is 100% bugs free.

I came here today to write about their mobile apps. However, an intro is required before writing any reviews.
Their mobile apps for SE is THE BEST SE mobile apps I have found after searching everywhere, using every demo mobile apps by other plugin providers. However, their apps too haven’t fully matured yet but they are true native mobile apps not some WebView. SEADDONS team constantly working on fixes and updates. Hence, if you decide to buy their apps I will suggest you to subscribe for their support service (all kinds). I love being secured about my site. So, I have subscribed for all kind of recurring services they have and I am also planning to subscribe for their dedicated manager subscription that they have launched recently.

SEADDONS mobile apps are very smooth, functional and doesn’t crash like so many other mobile apps I have tried. Bottom line for site owner like us is our member base. Are my members happy with new site and new apps which I have acquired from SEADDONS? Hell ya, they are very happy. My google analytics shows my daily mobile app user based has increased from 10-15 to few hundreds daily. Almost 3000 members downloaded my apps.

It will not be JUST if I talk about specific person from SEADDONS tech team. Because, everyone from that team deserves praises and applauses. Kudos to SEADDONS.
